The LEO AWARDS and the Motion Picture Arts & Sciences Foundation of British Columbia are proud to announce the recipient of the Omni Television Diversity in Cultures Award at our Gala Awards Ceremony this year.

This award supports the development of a documentary program intended to celebrate the richness of diversity experienced throughout the many cultures within British Columbia and carries a cash prize of $10,000.

This year’s recipient is ‘Pinoy Vote: The Emerging Filipino Voice in BC’ by Angelina Cantada, the story of how Filipino migrants have come to integrate themselves into Canadian society, struggling to build a life and call this place home.
