Your 2022 Hosts & Goddess Voice
Gary Jones - Gala Awards Host

Gary’s 37-year entertainment career spans over three decades in which he’s spent untold hours over-staying his welcome at craft service tables, picking the Smarties out of the mixed nuts. He’s a Jessie Award-winning playwright and a Just-For-Laughs Comedy Fest award-winning improviser.

Known for drawing large crowds on small bits of paper, Gary’s also a LEO nominated actor, writer and producer. After appearing for 10 years on the sci-fi smash, Stargate SG:1 as ‘Gate Technician, Walter Harriman,’ Gary now coaches actors online in ‘Computer-Screen Method-Acting’ covering such basics as 'The Quizzical Stare: How Puzzled Should Your Character Look?' along with 'Pretending to Understand Shit About Radar,' and how to deliver the classic line, 'Sir, you might want to take a look at this.'

Gary has two sitcoms in development, teaches at Vancouver Film School and has just wrapped up his 17th season as a writer on CBC Radio’s ‘The Debaters'.

As you read this, Gary’s brainchild ‘Forgotten Masters,’ has either won or lost its LEO nomination for Best Web Series. For that very same program, Gary will have also won or lost his nomination for Best Actor in a Web Series. You’ll know the answer to both depending on how bitter he is when he corners you in the bar after tonight’s show.
